-Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

"We don't see things as they are,
we see them as we are."

~Anaïs Nin

Hi, my name is Daniela.

I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapist, and I can also integrate elements from other therapeutic approaches to tailor sessions to each client's unique needs. My priority is to create a safe, welcoming space where you can freely share what’s on your mind, without fear of judgment.

I have experience working with mindfulness meditation and can provide some insight into beginning your own meditation practice if you so wish. I have a therapy room in my home in the West End of Glasgow (see images to the right) which I hope will be welcoming and serene.

I think that CBT can help everyone, whether they are having trouble in one area or want to make bigger changes. As a cognitive behavioural therapist, I bring both my professional knowledge and a caring attitude to our meetings.

Please don't be afraid to ask questions. I know it can be scary to start therapy, but I'm here to make it easy for you.

Artist: Georgia O’Keeffe

I help people who have problems like generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, low moods, depression, low self-esteem, and problems with confidence. I'm here to listen without judging, give advice, and help make change happen.

I work with young adults to retirees, and encourage diversity and inclusiveness. I want to give you the tools you need to better understand and regulate your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours through CBT. I will help you build resillience, promote positive changes and achieve your goals.

Having therapy can be intense, but it can also be inspiring and, believe it or not, humorous at times. I look forward to working with you.

I am a BAFTA award-winning actress with 35 years of experience in film, television, and theatre. Acting has been an incredible, life-long lesson in understanding human behaviour. As Uta Hagen, one of the world’s most renowned acting coaches, emphasised, actors should always ask themselves of their characters, “Who am I? What do I want? What are my relationships?” This approach taught me to empathise without judgment and to find something to love in every character I portrayed.

My acting career has provided me with unique insights into human nature, which has fuelled my desire over the past 15 years to pursue a career in therapy. After completing my training at the Centre of Therapy in Glasgow, I am now fully dedicated to this new path as a therapist.
